Our Little Owl

Do we look ready?

Liz and I’ve been picking up all sorts of baby goodies in the past few days. Namely, The Baby Owner’s Manual via the advice of soon-to-be parents Jennifer & Demetre Arges. Go Dads Team!

Liz has been kicking her mootsies up, relaxin’ in our Storytime Rocker with custom YASLY made geo-pattern support pillow! (Oh nice!) We’ve made a few other rad purchases, too (I’ll touch on those later). We’ve been busy designing “Thank You” cards, enjoying the baby’s 11pm kick-fest, coming up with and rejecting baby names, working like crazy, stackin’ that cheese, making moves, on and on …

Just a little bit on how we do!

Nice choice! Let me know if you like it. We also just picked up the trusted What to Expect the First Year and The Happiest Baby on the Block.
Pretty different in contrast to the designer friendly Baby Owners Manual!

    @ Demetre

Liz picked up What To Expect the First Year when she picked up The Baby Owners Manual too — freaky! What To Expect is like the bible of baby knowledge!

What to expect reads like a bible too! We actually picked up a book called Your Pregnancy: Week by Week. It was simple, easy to read, was designed better, and had tons of updated info (they put out a book each year), which helped us out a lot.

Also, pick up a book called Babywise. This book is a miracle. It explains the importance of parent directed feeding and how to get a schedule going so you and your baby can sleep on a normal 7-10 hours a night. It worked for my sister who gave us the book and it’s working out wonderfully for us as well!

Someone gave us the baby owners manual book which I love, but to be honest I haven’t even opened it up since then! Parenting will come natural to you and you’ll both be fine parents!
